Course Rules

Local Rules

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27-1)
   1. Over or through any wall, fence or hedge bordering the perimeter of the course.
   2. Over or through the internal boundary hedge between the 5th and 6th holes.
   3. Beyond the line of clubhouse buildings and car park.
   4. Beyond stakes to the rear of the 4th green.
2. WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)
   Any burn designated by yellow stakes.
3. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)
   Any burn designated by yellow stakes.
4. IMMOVABLE OBSTUCTIONS (Rule 24)
   1. All paths/roadways (and banks thereof), wooden steps, warning bells and sprinkler valve covers.
   2. Any part of a bridge which is outside the margin of a water hazard.
   3. All protected trees and shrubs that are banded, staked or indicated by a notice.
      YOUNG TREES UNDER ONE CLUB-LENGTH IN HEIGHT
   4. Marker poles, power poles and guy wires.
5. OVERHEAD CABLES
   A ball striking any overhead cables MUST be replayed without penalty.
6. GROUND UNDER REPAIR AND WRONG GREEN (Rule 25)
   A BALL MUST BE LIFTED AND DROPPED WITHOUT PENALTY IF IT LIES ON:
   1. Any area lines, staked or marked as G.U.R. (25-1b applies).
   2. Any mark made by tractors on the FAIRWAY ONLY (25-1b applies).
   3. Any green other than the one being played to (25-3 applies).
7. STONES IN BUNKERS
   Stones in bunkers can be removed without penalty.
8. TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES
   Players are expected to make themselves acquainted with any Temporary Local Rules exhibited on the Clubhouse Notice Board.
